The exhibition You May Dream in HOT is now open

On Saturday, September 21, the international exhibition You May Dream in HOT was officially opened in Hohenstein-Ernstthal. It is hosted by Silberbüchse – Förderverein Karl May Haus e. V. at Dresdner Straße 26.

The opening featured three Canadian artists, a parade directed by the Art School in Kadaň, and the special dish “drunken chicken” prepared by Andreas Barth (Silberbüchse).

On Sunday, in cooperation with Embassy of Canada to Germany, a German-Czech-Canadian discussion took place about how we imagine foreign cultures and how – much like Karl May – we create stories about “the Others.”

Opening hours

The exhibition is open every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 14:00 to 18:00, or by prior arrangement.

What’s next

This Thursday, the first group will join a guided tour of Canadian art inspired by Karl May’s imagination and the Ore Mountains. The Silberbüchse space will continue to host further events as part of the project Try Walking in May Shoes.
