Calvin is a school psychologist, writer and poet.
He has spent many years taking students on educational and cultural trips throughout Europe and India. He has performed at Fringe festivals in Salmon Arm and Vancouver, British Columbia. His latest collection of poems, Facing the Seating Horse, was published in 2022.
He has also published several other books, including Letters from the Land of Fear and The Secret Life of Teenagers, as well as over 130 essays in all the major Canadian newspapers.
For this project, he wrote the story ‘Meeting Viktor’ and directed a film inspired by Karl May’s fantasy about places the main character has never visited.
