Join the Virtual Karl May Run 2025, organized by Ženský spolek as part of the Year with Karl May.
Run anytime between November 10 and 30, 2025 – on your own, with friends, or with family.

Choose between two symbolic routes:
🏃‍♀️ 10 km – Smugglers’ Trail through the Ore Mountains
🏃 21 km – Across the Borders of Imagination, linking Bohemia and Saxony.

This run bridges motion and imagination – just as Karl May crossed the line between reality and fiction, you can cross real borders today.

Suggested stops along the way

🪶 Chomutov – visit the new Karl May memorial plaque at the former Hotel Scherber, where the writer stayed in 1897.
🎨 Exhibitions You May Dream in HOT and You May Dream in Chomutov – Canadian artists explore May’s imagination and the spirit of the Ore Mountains.
🏠 Karl-May-Haus in Hohenstein-Ernstthal – the writer’s birthplace and the start of the Karl-May Trail, following his paths of inspiration.
