POTLACH / DE · CZ · CA

Shared Dinner, Conversations and Encounters

The word potlatch comes from the Chinook language, once spoken by the Indigenous peoples of Canada’s Northwest Coast.
It originally meant a ceremony of giving and sharing that strengthened friendship and community ties.
Today, both in Canada and Europe, it describes friendly gatherings where everyone brings something to share – food, an idea, or a story.

Join us for a German-Czech-Canadian potlach – a shared dinner in the gallery space at Dresdner Strasse 26, where artists and friends of Ženský spolek z. s. and Silberbüchse e.V. will come together to share food, imagination, inspiration, and conversations about collaborative creation.
There will also be time to talk about the Canadian artworks featured in You May Dream in HOT.

📍 Dresdner Strasse 26, Hohenstein-Ernstthal
🗓 Saturday, November 16, 2025, 5:00 PM
💡 Everyone is welcome to bring something small to share – food, idea, or story.
P.S.: We’ll prepare a big pot of pasta – and hopefully something sweet too.
